India’s Internal National security has been facing many threatening challenges i.e. Cross-border threats – Jammu and Kashmir Militancy, Insurgency, Terrorism, Communal Violence, Caste and Linguistic Violence, Technological challenges, Corruption, Threats due to Vote bank politics, violent agitations, Left Wing Extremism, Organized Crimes Human trafficking, Illegal migration etc. Among all, terrorism is the most dominant danger to peace and security of nation. Though terrorism is a very common phenomenon all over the world but there is no official or universal definition of terrorism agreed on by everyone. Despite decades of assimilation of academic literature on the subject of terrorism no commonly accepted definition has been formed. Many legal and judicial steps have been taken to fight all these threats but at the same time, the threats keep changing their face with the change of time. The present book is an effort by like-minded academicians and scholars to highlight the issue of terrorism and its different facets along with the menace of other internal security challenges which at times are as grave as terrorism.
