About the Authors:
Dr. Ravi Inder Singh is a Professor in Finance at University Business School, Ludhiana. He did his Masters in Commerce from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and Masters in Business Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. Prof. Singh is also a certified member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai. He has contributed to many high repute research papers of National and International journals. He has worked on two books and chaired technical sessions in National and International conferences and seminars. Dr. Singh is a member of the Senate, Punjab University, Chandigarh, and a member of the Board of Studies of various institutes of high repute, and is a member of a large number of other reputed academic and research committees.
Dr. Pooja Sikka is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University Institute of Laws, Punjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana. She received a fellowship from University Grants Commission to pursue her Ph.D. in Economics from the Department of Economics, Punjabi University, Patiala. Throughout her academic career, she got a high standard of achievement and received many scholarships. In fourteen years of dedicated teaching, she has to her credit one edited book and about a dozen publications in books and reputed journals. Her research interests include Economic Growth and Development, Poverty and Income Inequality, and Public Policy.
