Evolution of mankind is the long never-ending story of conflicts, stresses and struggles. Changing technology has, of course .come to rescue of man in what could have been a tedious task. Technology has expanded frontiers of knowledge and opened new vistas of growth and knowledge Technology , in fact, itself has become a resource that will never stop growing.

The book talks about the resource position of Indian economy as it prepares to undertake the hilarious task of translation to a fast emerging economy set to achieve the status of fastest growing economy, faster even than China –a symbol of success otherwise.

The first three chapters develop the theoretical construct of ‘resources’ their profile in the global economy, as also the various strategies and programmes conceived to conserve and Save them, the balance of eight chapters present a critical analysis of the resource base of the Indian economy.
