S.V. Shestoperov was a scholar specialising in construction engineering. He is best known for his book Road and Building Materials, a textbook reflecting the newest scientific and engineering achievements in the production technology and use of road materials.
As an author, he discusses a great number of materials featuring various construction-engineering properties on the basis of their origin. First published in Russian as ‘Dorozhno-stroitel’nye Materialy’ in 1976, it is still widely republished in multiple languages. His other publications include the Technology of Concrete (in Russian).
