Clifford D Ferris was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the George Washington University. He specialised in Mathematical Physics. His book Linear Network Theory was first published in 1961. He wrote it in an attempt to bridge the gap between undergraduate courses and first year graduate school courses in transient analysis and network synthesis. Apart from it, he also wrote a series of books about agricultural experiments in collaboration with the University of Wyoming.
