Member of the Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP)
Amit Kumar holds a PhD and an M.phil in Population Studies, along with a Master’s in Geography. His primary skills are Demographic Analysis, Measurement and Statistical Tools in Demographic Studies and Primary Research.
He has penned over 15 papers that have been published in various national and international journals. His research areas include Fertility, Mortality, Maternal and Child Health, Child Immunisation, and Migration.
In addition to ‘Population, Development, and Environment: An Indian Experience’, he has co-authored ‘Population, Economic Growth and Environmental Pollution’ and authored ‘Change in Fertility and Infant Mortality and its Future Prospects in Bihar’.
Currently, he is working to complete his PhD from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai.
